At Toheed UL Islam, our vision is to establish a state-of-the-art, multi-storey community centre with a designated prayer area to meet the spiritual, educational, and social needs of our community. This new facility will be a focal point for religious worship, learning, and community engagement, creating a welcoming environment that ensures unity and development across all age groups and backgrounds.

The centre will serve as a welcoming space for all members of the community to come together, whether to enjoy a hot beverage or a meal. It will cultivate a sense of connection among individuals, ensuring that no one experiences isolation. The centre will host events, offer exercise sessions for the elderly, and provide essential support services, including signposting and assistance with completing applications.

The centre will be designed with segregated ablution facilities for men, women, and children, ensuring that privacy and comfort are maintained. Additionally, the building will be fully accessible, with disability-friendly amenities integrated throughout to ensure inclusivity for all members of the community.

A key aspect of the centre’s vision is the provision of a dedicated space for children to learn and grow. We will create purpose-built classrooms, designed with safeguarding measures in mind, to ensure the safety and well-being of our young people.

In recognition of the significant role women play within our community, the centre will provide a dedicated space for women to learn, engage, and participate in both religious and social activities. This area will support women’s personal and spiritual development, enabling them to thrive within a supportive and inclusive environment. A designated children’s creche area will be included, providing a safe and nurturing environment for our younger members while their parents engage in prayer or community activities.

To address the immediate needs of vulnerable members of our community, the centre will provide a hot meal service, ensuring that those in need receive nourishment and support. Furthermore, the centre will offer youth services, providing a controlled environment where young people can spend time engaging in positive activities and developing skills that will support their future.

The facility will also include spaces for family members who are grieving, offering them a dignified and private area to reflect and spend time with loved ones. A counselling and consultation room will be available for private consultations, where specialists can provide support in a quiet and confidential setting.

Recognising the importantce of educational support, the community centre will feature a fully equipped library and study area, where children and adults alike can access resources to further their education. The centre will also offer additional academic support through tutoring and specialist teaching, enabling children to reach their full potential.

As part of our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, the new building will incorporate eco-friendly design elements, including energy-efficient systems and solar panels for renewable energy. This commitment to green technology ensures that our community centre not only serves the needs of today but also contributes to the welfare of future generations.
